Tonight we are at Mountainview Faith Community Church in Rancho Cucamonga with Pastors Steve and Dody. A great church in a converted 3 screen cinema.

We have spent the last two days in the mountains in a beatiful log cabin overlooking the most picturesque golf course. Coyotes were out front this morning and there is a bear up here somewhere!

Cornerstone Christian Center, Torrance

Today we had a fab time with our great friends Pastors Tim and Karlene Smith and the church at Cornerstone. We had an amazing response to the worship and also the message Mike preached on Momentum. Very timely for the church right now.

Today we went to Long Beach with our great friend Pastor Tim Smith. As well as checking out the shops we had lunch on the marina which was so relaxing across the way from where the Queen Mary is docked! Cool!

Yesterday we bid farewell to our great friends John, Tami, Nick and Elisa Daniels. We really loved staying with them over the last week - thanks guys for your wonderful hospitality!

An explanation!

Just realised how that must sound. The pilot is not flying the plane! That would place us on the nose. No he is on his way home. Kind of reassures you though.

Stopped at Albuquerque to drop off and pick up. But this is as much of it as we get to see. We can change seats on this leg so Mike is a happy bunny as we are sat infront of a pilot! You can imagine the conversation!

Another airport!

Airport terminals are pretty much the same the world over! We await our flight to La La land. So it's farewell to the spurs and stetsans and hi there to roller blades and big smiles! Oh and Rodeo Drive!!

Tonight we had a great time at Christian Center of Fort Worth, Texas. The worship went great and we had a fantastic response to the message that Mike shared on Confidence. Our friends Pastors Steve and Gaye Vanzant lead this great church that's reaching out and helping many people affected by Hurricane Ike.

Well having had a tiring day walking around The Galleria in Dallas on one of our days off we are now relaxing watching The Vicar of Dibley with our friends John and Elisa! It's so funny!

Great time at Trinity

Today we had an awesome time at Trinity Christian Center in Louisiana with our great friends Pastors David & Yvonne Remedios. God was most definitely in the house!

All quiet on the western front at the moment but Ike is due to hit Dallas between 4 & 7 tonight. Kind of interesting when our flight to Louisianna is 6.45! It's just a waiting game.....

My birthday meal

What a great way to celebrate my birthday - with our great friends John, Tami and Elisa. Nick wasn't able to be with us because he had 4 wisdom teeth out yesterday. Shame Gem wasn't with us - miss her loads.

The View Restaurant Times Square

My last surprise for Lois was a meal at the only revolving restaurant in New York. Some 48 floors above Times Square it truly is amazing to see tower blocks pass you by even if it's difficult to find your table again when you get up!

The little church that stood

An emotional time at Ground Zero especially at this little church literally over the road from the site of the towers. Totally untouched as it was protected by huge trees that surround it, it became a place of refuge, strength and provision to the rescue workers on 9/11. Mmm just what the church should be!?

Another surprise!

Wow wow wow. Just been whisked high above the New York sky line in a helicoptor. How romantic is that! Not sure my heart can stand any more surprises!

The heavens have opened here and it's thunder and lightning! Seems like we've brought the good ole British weather with us! It was up in the 80's yesterday!

We're here in Brookyn, NYC

Well after a good Starbucks at the airport and some 7 hours later we're finally here in Brooklyn, New York! Just had a Chinese meal and we're relaxing in the hotel feeling pretty exhausted! Well it might be 8.25pm here but it's 1.25AM :) for us!

Start as you mean to go on!

Well we're at Bristol Airport doing what we do well - having Starbucks! 7.55 hours to go and we'll be in New York!

Still running around!

Still running around like a headless chicken! It doesn't matter how much you're prepared it seems like there's always so much to do! I can feel like a message reminder coming on - Make Time Count!! Anyway looking forward to a great day in the house tomorrow and then off to New York on Monday!
