A Driver, a wedge and a 5 iron.
Today we took our golf clubs out for an airing. As we havent played for 18 months (been a bit busy!!!) we thought that for the sake of the serious golf playing population (we couldnt be serious on a golf course if our life depended on it!) we should spend a little time at the driving range. Well I think a little more time is needed as I almost took a mans head off!!!! Although you are somewhat contained in a booth the slippery little blighter got away and flew at an alarming speed (quite impressed with the speed :-) ) at right angles past my husband and onto the guy in the next booth!!!! He took it all in good humour and I am sure he left with both eyes intact.
We'll get back into the swing of it (if you'll pardon the punn) and the pink peril will return triumphant (I have pink clubs which is a challenge for those who take the game far too seriously but they need to lighten up!!!!)

Calories, cholesteral and castles.
You could be forgiven for thinking that all we do is drink tea! However, today we stepped it up a notch and we partook of cream tea at Banwell Castle! As you can see Mike reluctantly came along for the ride!!
Our excuse is that we have our great friends Wynne and Gwen Goss staying with us so we are enjoying a couple of days of just chillin'

Cheddar cheese and great friends
spent a lovely afternoon at Cheddar Gorge. We have our great friends Wynne and Gwen Goss with us leading us astray! Who else would get me - who doesn't eat cheese - sampling endless amounts of Cheddar cheese! I had no idea you could add so many ingredients to cheese. Some actually masked the taste of the cheese - great idea!

The King of Pop provides platform for King of Kings
Have been watching Michael Jacksons memorial. Emotional, poignant, but strangly uplifting. Much has been written about MJ in far more eloquent terms than I could even attempt but he was a musical and entertaining genius. One who truly left a mark on this earth.
It was incredible to see so many Personalities and friends of Michaels lift up the name of Jesus within their tributes to the King of Pop. For a moment there I thought I was watching 'church'!
What a great opportunity as the world looks on, THE King is given the platform as millions of people tune in to celebrate the life of 'the man in the mirror'. (Posted by Pastor Lois)
